Do you support Joe Lieberman?

Why are people - conservatives, republicans even – suddenly screaming “Support Joe Lieberman” … “I love Joe” etc.. ? Why? (just because he said he’ll support a GOP filibuster?)

My gut says – don’t be so quick to trust!

I mean, have people forgotten this:

He IS a registered Democrat. Do you suppose he’s prepping to switch? If so, what does that say about the man to you? I’ve never really trusted a politician who switches parties either way, because that means they’ve just let down alot of their supporters and their party and are doing a complete 180 on their beliefs and their positions on key issues. How can that be possible?

One exception in my mind is that of a young politician switching over from Democrat to Republican (or Libertarian). That just shows he’s lived, learned and gotten wiser.  It’s common for young people to start out as Independent or Democrat. I did. Once they live and see what’s really going on, they switch over. Like me.

These older career politicians who’ve claimed allegiance to the Democratic party for decades, fought for the liberal way (abortion, big government etc)… is it really even possible to switch and become a true Conservative and fight for our way (pro-life, small government etc) ? My brain is going “Does not compute. Does not compute.” lol

But then again he does have the Liberals pretty ticked off so he must be doing something right.. Right? lol

Good morning!  My cell started chiming at me at 4 am this morning. I have it set to alert me every time I get a new Breaking News email related to Obama and Politics, as inquiring minds want to know, and preferably first.  Knowing it had to be something important to get an alert at 4 am, I opened the email on my cell lying there in the dark. Cell phone screens are painfully bright at 4 am aren’t they?? lol

I read the headline and figured I must be having one of those really weird dreams where I’m scrubbing floors at the White House while Michelle is being fanned and fed grapes by her 26 attendants, or marching in a Civilian Army to the beat of “Mmm mmm mmm Barack Hussein Obama”…. so I rolled back over and went back to sleep…

When I got up and confirmed the news this morning, and thought about it…. I can’t help but smell something really fishy, how about you?

The deadline for nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is in February. This means Obama was President for only a few weeks when he was nominated.  Is that even proper?

The award is supposed to be a huge honor bestowed sparingly, thoughtfully and deliberately to truly deserving souls who have accomplished something amazing and inspiring.  Obama is good at the talk. I’ve yet to see him do the walk.  We’re still at war, he’s made no progress in the Middle east, and look at our Economy and Unemployment! He’s still in campaign mode and has yet to actually DO anything.  Even SNL acknowledged that in a hilarious but accurate parody HERE.

Former Polish President Lech Walesa, a 1983 Nobel Peace Prize winner has said “So soon? Too early. He has no contribution so far. He is still at an early stage. He is only beginning to act,”.

What had he accomplished as of February 09 that made him qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize?  Come to think of it, he hasn’t accomplished anything in 9 months either, so what gives? Apparently Obama doesn’t have to really “qualify” for anything does he?

David Axelrod said this morning, “It’s an honor. It’s nothing anyone expected. It’s certainly nothing the president sought. I think that he’s less interested in individual honors and this certainly is one than in advancing the causes that the were cited by the Nobel committee,”.

To that I say BULL HOCKEY! If he really was about causes and not himself, he would politely decline the award.  Actually, that would be a very smart move. But he won’t do that because Obama is all about “me, me, me, me, me!” I’m so great. I’m here to save the world. Bow to my will. Trust me. Worship me. (only I’m sure in his mind all those m’s are capitalized…)  I don’t think Obama has a humble bone is his body.

Some liberal young people see his ambition as innovative, different, exciting.  To us older, wiser conservative people with LIFE experience, we see Obama for what he really is:  He is pure arrogance mixed with naivety.  This is not a good combination, even if it comes with good intentions. I know that from personal experience. There is a reason that people (used to) say “Listen to your elders, they are wise.”  The older generations used to be looked up to with awe, asked about history and life experiences, trusted for solid advice.  Now they’re treated like expired milk.

Liberals are more willing to take risks, especially the younger ones. They’re taught that it’s OK to take risks. For example, when you get investment advice, what do they tell you? When you’re young, you can be bold and risky, but as you get older, you better become more conservative with your investments.

When I speak of a return to true Conservatism, this is pretty much what I mean.  Conservatism isn’t a party, it’s a way of life.  A life of respecting wise people because they’ve “been there, done that”, and learning from their mistakes. We can save some time that way you know! lol

Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama’s initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.

“For 108 years, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has sought to stimulate precisely that international policy and those attitudes for which Obama is now the world’s leading spokesman. The Committee endorses Obama’s appeal that ‘Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.”

So they’re not only okay with Obama negotiating with known terrorists, but they prefer it, and they share his apologetic view of America, and they’re giving him this prize based on his IDEAS – not on actions and accomplishments.  Well, mark this is my last time giving a flip who wins the Nobel Peace Prize.  Apparently anyone can win one if they just talk alot. That’s all Obama has done and the Nobel Committe admitted so by not citing ONE actual accomplishment except TALK.

The news of Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize dumbfounds me.  I’m going to dig into the Nobel Committee.  Sounds like someone left a door open and some acorns blew in or something….

I may be one of dissent, but if u listened to Qaddafi today, he stated things that we should be aware of, concerned about, and interested in, such as he does here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2737QUBxFY Listen to what he says about Obama and his promises, faith and Islamic identity. Qaddafi knows alot about Obama. Even crazy people speak the truth at times, and are useful for revealing the truth about our evils at home.

Qaddafi hadn’t been to America in 40 years. He’s NEVER praised an American president before. Now all of a sudden, he’s here and spent 75% of his loooong speech lauding Obama, even going so far as to say he hopes Obama is president “forever”. He called Obama his “son” and a Kenyan American. I wondered why Qaddafi brought up the Kennedy assassination today at the UN. The video above better explains it. Whether it’s true or not, I don’t know. The Secret Service didn’t answer my e-mail (lol) but I do know that if we are smart, we’ll listen to and examine the words of every international party to our future, and like it or not crazy Q is one of them. I’m surprised at the DM’s I got which expressed agreement with some of what Q said today.

It’s scary when we are agreeing with a known terrorist regarding our President. I heard some truths today, or at least what I thought were truths. And not one of those came from Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama surrenders to Russia on Missile Defence, we are appearing to be Weak!

In my humble opinion, this is Treason.

The news that Obama has surrendered to Obama on Missile Defense just simply makes me feel ill. Are you as worried about this nation as I am? Can you read the writing on the wall?  Obama appears to be setting us up for a major disaster, like an attack we won’t be able to defend ourselves from. Obama has announced he wants to cut OUR missiles by half. He is making us appear weak, and if this continues, it won’t be long before we are no longer the Superpower of the world.  PLUS, he has stabbed our Allies in the back. Poland is rightfully upset and I am outraged because as I previously blogged, my dad’s side of my family came here in 1907- from Poland. BUT not only all of this….. but WHY did Obama surrender?  He got something for that, what was it?  I think we’ll figure it out!!

Update 9/18: It’s been reported that Obama’s motive in this one was: you guessed it – $$$$.  The evening of the 17th it was announced that GE would be going to meet with Russians regarding a new exclusive contract. Obama no doubt arranged this nice little package, selling out our Allies. He is just smart enough to act like he knows what he’s doing, but also just naive enough to be dangerous.
