Breaking: The UK Times online reported late last night that  Todd Stern, US Special Envoy for Climate Change, says Obama may not attend the December 2009 UN Summit on Climate Change, “unless sufficient progress was being made in the negotiations”.

Don’t get too excited, he’s going…. It simply means Obama is wanting to appear hesitant and thoughtful, when what he really wants to do is negotiate more before hand, probably behind closed doors if you catch my drift.  [ Consider the special business deals he worked out between GM and Russia recently, the very day he surrendered to Russian on Missile Defense, which stabbed some of our Allies including Poland (where my family immigrated from in 1907) right in the back. To get a good idea of Russia's new relationship with Obama, look at their news page HERE. It's all about Obama, because Obama is helping Russia with their business deals with GM in exchange for pulling our missile defense programs for our Allies. If you think Poland and the Czech Republic will forget about this direct insult and neglect, think again. Obama is burning some important bridges. ]

Ed Miliband, the Energy and Climate Change secretary, appealed to President Obama to intervene to rescue the deal and said his presence in Copenhagen could make “all the difference between success and failure”.

Wait, maybe we should let him go. After all, look at the success from his last trip to Copenhagen? That did alot of good for Chicago……

The truth is Obama isn’t about to refuse to attend the UN Summit on Climate Change. After all, he just won the Nobel Peace Prize for his “efforts” in International relations.  His signature has already been bought and paid for by the Nobel Committee. The Treaty the UN is bringing forth for signatures is a very International matter and he will be expected to be there and to sign by the International Community. Any countries who try to refuse will be talked into it. Its been reported that “virtually no country won’t sign”.

As I previously blogged here: ” Obama poised to cede US Sovereignty “, (you may wish to read that to get caught up on what the purpose of the UN meeting will be)  Obama’s agenda is the same as the International Community’s agenda: Socialism.  Their agenda is worldwide, his is here nationally.  Of course he’s going to attend the summit. He was probably instructed to show a little hesitation for appearances sake.

We must stop him from signing the Treaty. Copy and paste the following tweet to @TweetCongress and any other individual members of Congress you can:

Mr Stern delivered a warning to developing countries that they needed to make substantial commitments on reducing the growth of their Greenhouse Gas emissions. “We don’t in the US deny that we have real historical responsibility but the IEA [International Energy Agency] in Paris will tell you that 97 per cent of the growth in emissions between now and 2050 will come from the developing world. The US has to act and the EU and Japan but also the developing countries. It’s the only way to solve this problem.”

What, what did he say?….. So we’re to blame up til now, but 97% of future emissions will come from other smaller developing countries.. however WE will be the country paying the MOST to those developing countries as payment for past climate “debt”.  Yeah, that makes sense!! Obama poised to cede US Sovereignty to the UN

I wasn’t sure what to think. I read the Treaty linked in there, and it seemed so innocuous that I decided to speak with someone who was there, since I was not, to get a better grip on the information given by the speaker, and the implications of the reported Treaty to be signed in December.   I confirmed that the presentation did indeed take place, and spoke with a man, a citizen (retired from Air Force) who had attended the meeting.  His name is Paul Pekarek from St Paul, Minnesota. I also spoke with his wife Melissa.  Paul is retired from the Military after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force.

The presentation was held at the Minnesota Free Market Institute on 10/14/09. The speaker was Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

I confirmed the details as reported in the article linked at the top of this page through Paul, who was in attendance.  I asked him for his recollections of the presentation, the general feel of the audience, and what he learned from the presentation.

Paul learned of the upcoming presentation from his father, Petroleum Geolostist.  He was interested in hearing what Lord Monckton had to say regarding Climate Change and Global Warming. Mr. Pekarek was very well versed in climate change and global warming.

Mr Pekarek said that about 700 people were in attendance but that he didn’t see any Press there.

Before I called Mr. Pekarek, I read through the document the article refers to: “A shared vision for long-term cooperative action“. You are encouraged to download this and read it.

Mr. Pekarek informed me there will be video audio of the presentation available this evening online on the Minnesota Free Market Institute website.

Part of the article that stunned me is this quote: “I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity.” I asked Mr. Pekarek about this and he stated that there were three purposes given and he remembered the first two were World Government (US Sovereignty lost) and Global Wealth Redistribution.

I asked Mr. Pekarek how it was explained that this Treaty (also known as a Convention) would take away our US Sovereignty. He said that the Treaty itself doesn’t do it, but that Article 6 of our Constitution states that: “all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land;”

Mr. Lord Monckton states that this Treaty (again, Conventions are Treaties) would give US Sovereignty to the UN.

I asked Mr. Pekarek what other negative impacts the Treaty might have on the United States.  He stated that we would have a World Government entity, which would supersede our government, that this Treaty amounts to Forced Worldwide Wealth Redistribution.  All countries are expected to sign the Treaty.

I asked him why the Kyoto Protocol was mentioned.  He explained that is also Wealth Redistribution.

Mr. Pekarek stated that a video “Climate Chains” was just posted  FMI’s website prior to our interview.

Mr. Pekarek said there were a number of references to Obama’s agenda, but most attention was given to Al Gore’s theories, and the whole evening’s focus on global warming, and the lies perpetrated by the socialist agenda.

For example, Mr. Pekarek stated that last year, Al Gore was invited by the Majority party, to testify to Congress about Global Warming.  The Minority party invited Lord Monckton to speak.   He was about to get on his plane when he was informed that he was disinvited by the Majority party.  Therefore, Al Gore got to speak alone, uncontested and unchallenged.  This was the first time this ever happened in Congress.  Al Gore has yet to respond to Lord Monckton’s requests for debate.

Mr. Pekarek brought up a puzzling, and I think telling bit of information. If Al Gore really believed his own theory that sea levels are rising 6 inches per year, why did he buy a condo 6 inches above sea level in San Francisco? He also pointed out that Al Gore has chartered his compnay in London, England not the US. This is because in London, England you can lie on a Prospectus, but you can’t do that in the United States.

I asked Mr. Pekarek if anything else stood out in his memory from the presentation.  He said that Lord Monckton brought up DDT. DDT is a  chemical banned in 70′s.  On Sep 15, 2006, the Director of WHO Arata Kochi finally declared it was time for science to trump politics, and took DDT off the banned list. It was said to be banned without scientific basis, with claims that it attributed to malaria, but that in the 40 years since it had been banned, 40 million people (1 million per year) still died of malaria, and it wasn’t related to DDT as falsely reported.  It had also been claimed that thin egg shells was a sign of DDT being dangerous, when it was actually due to young birds laying those eggs, not DDT, and that calcium was naturally deficient in their environment.  If you have not read the Treaty linked to above, you might not understand what all this “environmental” stuff means.  It is all connected politically, in order to achieve a socialist agenda.

Another subject that Mr. Pekarek remembered from the event was that Lord Monkton spoke about Bio Fuel and its harmful effects on US crops. He stated that since the push 2 yrs ago for bio fuel, by the Bush administration, 1/3 of all US crops for FOOD have been converted to crops for BIO FUEL, and that this has doubled the cost of food worldwide. Other countries like Brazil have also implemented conversions to bio fuel from crops for food because of political urging.

An interesting subject Lord Monckton discussed was Glaciers and Polar Ice sheets.  He corrected the false claims by Al Gore that glaciers are in danger, and said that studies and satellite imagery have proven that whatever shrinkage has been, happened before our industrial development. Lord Monckton explained that Industrial development started in the 1880′s; most of the melting had already begun.  He stated that regional cooling and dryer air mass have occurred, not lower temperatures. Bottom line: Glaciers are evaporating not melting, and the temperatures have gone down not up. Al Gore’s theory is the opposite of proven satellite imagery and studies over the past 40 years, but his theories advance the socialist agenda, so they are widely accepted. Anyone with conflicting evidence is ignored, ridiculed and rejected.

I asked about the Polar Bears Al Gore speaks of in his movie, in which he claimed are being killed by rising temperatures and are on the verge of extinction.  He said that Lord Monkton produced evidence that out of  the entire polar bear population, 4 polar bears total died.  Just 4.  Those deaths occurred immediately after a severe storm, and in fact had nothing to
do with ice at all.  The polar bear population is larger now than in 1930′s; it is going UP, not down.  This is hardly criteria for a species on verge of extinction. In fact, it is known that between 800 and 1300 AD, there was no ice cap at all, and yet the polar bears thrived.

Mr. Pekarek said that the most signifigant thing Lord Monkton said was that previously the global warming debate wasnt over, despite Al Gore’s claim.  But now the science is in:  “Global Warming” is not happening. A 30 yr data collection from satellite imagery has proven in fact the opposite of global warming.  Mr. Pekarek said that Lord Monkton showed the audience the proof and data on slides.

The last issue Mr. Pekarek said that Lord Monkton brought up was the fact that Carbon dioxide (CO2) was recently added to the list of “environmental Pollutants”. He said there is a Court case in the state of MASS regarding another matter.  In their briefs, the two parties were deliberately colluting with each other with regard to carbon dioxide.  Their briefs both included an “agreement” that CO2 is a pollutant.  So when the court case was decided, CO2 was never in contention, and got reported as if it was “found” to be a pollutant when in fact it was not ever debated – it was a mere stipulation.  Lord Monkton said this needs to be undone but to do so one would have to bring new case, and demonstrate new science.  Lord Monkton explained that CO2 is like fertilizer for plants.  I myself remember being taught that talking to plants is good for them.  This is because we inhale oxygen (and CO2) and exhale the CO2. Plants thrive on CO2.

I asked Mr. Pekarek if Lord Monkton suggested anything we can do to stop the Treaty. Lord Monkton reluctantly said one way is to push and shove at our Representatives regarding this Treaty and get exposure w/ the tea parties.

Lord Monkton has made a movie that completely and clearly refutes Al Gore. The name of the movie is Apocolypse Not.

Mr. Pekarek said that at the end of Lord Monkton’s speech, he was given a standing ovation by the entire audience.

I asked Mr. Pekarek his opinion of the Treaty and the many “environmental” theories being pushed by the Liberals, especially Al Gore, and he answered: “This is all common sense turned on its head.  It is collective insanity.”
